The Firm

Grasso-Menziuso Architects, (GM) is an Architectural Firm that thru its late founder, Max Wechsler in 1938, has evolved from Wechsler-Grasso-Menziuso into its present form.  Thus GM has over 60 years of experience of providing professional architectural services.  This experience is continuing thru its principals, Vincent Grasso, Alfred Menziuso and Christopher Menziuso who joined the firm in 1992.

With over 8,100 project completed to date GM thru the years has designed Residential Projects ranging from low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise buildings, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Medical Centers, Congregate Housing  and Assisted Living Housing for Governmental agencies, Not for Profit agencies and Private Developers.  We have had extensive experience working with both Federal and City governmental agencies such as New York State Division of Housing & Community Renewal (DHCR), the New York State Urban Development Corp. (UDC), the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the New York City Housing and Preservation & Development Corp. (HPD), School Construction Authority (SCA) as well as many others.  Within the firm, the principals of GM maintain a hands-on involvement with all the technical and administrative tasks in the office.  We are cognizant of the many degrees of procedures involved with working with any agency.

 GM has attained an expertise in the successful design of all types of Residential & Commercial projects and has been in the forefront of creating Architectural excellence in New, Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse projects.

 Throughout the years, we have gained an expertise of the NYC Building Code and Zoning Resolution and have had input into the revisions of such codes.

 GM Architects has designed projects that all have been completed in a timely manner, both in the production of construction documents and in the administration of the work during the progress of construction and all have been built within the budget constraints.  We are involved from the conception of a proposed project to literally the time the Tenants occupy the building.

 Virtually all of our projects have as well had time constraints which we can proudly state have all been successfully met.  Our experience has created a strong awareness of the long term value of correct detailing and the proper selection of material for a given project.

Alfred T. Menziuso is the co-founder of Grasso Menziuso Architects. Registered in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Member of A.I.A, The New York Society of Architects and The New York state Association of Architects. Mr. Menziuso holds an NCARB certificate.

Christopher T. Menziuso is a registered architect in the State of New York and New Jersey. Member of A.I.A and holds an NCARB certificate.
